Community Day
Saturday's
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
503 Stuart Cir, Richmond, VA 23220
Community Day is a VOWS initiative dedicated to uplifting our local neighborhoods through acts of service and care. Volunteers come together to pack and distribute help bags filled with essential items for under-resourced families and participate in community clean-up efforts. This day of action not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a sense of connection, unity, and mental well-being among both volunteers and the community members we serve.
As part of our Community Day, VOWS hosts a special Amazon Giveaway where members of the community can "shop" for brand-new items donated by Amazon—completely free of charge. From household goods to clothing and electronics, these items are made available to help families access essential products they might not otherwise afford. This giveaway is our way of giving back and ensuring that under-resourced Black and Brown families receive the support they need.
